down yonder

Lest we forget, there is this place called South America. And I think that the folks there can be called Americans, or at least South Americans, which makes me wonder why we U.S. citizens seem to think we are the only ones who can be called Americans. Isn’t everyone who lives in the Americas American?

Anyhow, one story I’ve been following is Brazil’s nuclear capabilities. The Brazilian government may very well be developing nukes, if they don’t have them already. Who knows. The president of Brazil won his seat by promising to fight for the rights of the people, but now seems to be yielding to Washington and the IMF. Maybe the reason we don’t hear much about Brazil nukes as opposed to Iranian nukes is because our government is trying to keep Brazil and the rest of the Americas from turning against us at all costs. And of course there is always terrorism involved somehow.

It seems to me that most of the world is turning against the U.S. It is only a matter of time before we loose our economic advantage.
